Umesh Patel contributed the following images from his trip to Carbondale, IL, on August 21, 2017. One is a composite and the remaining are totality pictures.

He reported (edited): “Here are some technical details on the equipment that I used.”

Camera: Pentax K-5 IIs, lens: smc PENTAX-F* 300 mm F4.5 ED [IF]
Camera: Pentax K-1, lens: Promaster 28-200mm f3.8-5.6 Spectrum 7 AF XR aspherical
Used cable release on both the cameras
Made filters for both of the lenses from a “Thousand Oaks Optical SolarLite Solar Filter Film (ND 5)” filter sheet
Used “Mirror lock-up” on my cameras for each picture except the totality pictures
Mounted both cameras on individual tripods
Did not move or disturb my Pentax K-1 setup for the composite picture
